Backtesting a Strategy
Step 1 Step 1 To execute a backtest on a strategy press the backtest button on the line containing the strategy. The strategy gets preselected in the table, then select an instrument from the list of available instruments and press the Run Backtest button. You can type in the desired instrument by using a search term or the symbol.
For example, type EURUSD, of type GENERIC then press the Run Backtest button.
Step 2 The backtest result appears after it is executed. This page shows general performance metrics such as P&L and the equity curve. By clicking on the positions tab, the details of the positions can be seen.
